Hybrid in Chicago with direct client impact.

As a Senior Software Engineer/Forward Deployed, you will help build and ship AI-powered voice and automation solutions that solve real business problems. This role combines hands-on engineering with client-facing delivery, covering everything from design through production for integrations, APIs, and data pipelines.

What you’ll build

  • AI-powered voice and automation solutions delivered to clients
  • Integrations, APIs, and data pipelines that connect systems and move data reliably
  • End-to-end ownership of implementations, from initial design to production delivery
  • Client collaboration to address complex business challenges using modern AI technologies

Core responsibilities

  • Build and deliver AI-powered voice and automation solutions for clients
  • Develop integrations, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Own implementations from design through production
  • Work directly with customers to solve complex business challenges using modern AI technologies

What you bring

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong development skills in Java/Spring Boot and Python
  • Experience with REST APIs, system integrations, and data pipelines
  • Knowledge of OAuth, webhooks, JSON, CSV, and SFTP
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools including Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in the Loop, Chicago, IL

Technologies you’ll work with

Java, Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, JSON, CSV, SFTP, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Twilio, Genesys, Five9, LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph.

Preferred background

  • Conversational AI, Voice AI, or telephony platforms (Twilio, Genesys, Five9)
  • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application development
  • LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI frameworks
  • Solutions engineering or professional services experience
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment

Salary: USD 150,000 per year.

Location: Chicago, IL (hybrid).
