Join L3Harris Technologies in the Space and Sensors division for an on-site role in Mason, Ohio. This position offers a structured 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off and the chance to travel domestically up to 40 percent to collaborate with suppliers and ensure program success. You will work closely with the Supplier Quality Manager to align goals, timelines, and budgets while supporting critical projects in a dynamic, engineering-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess manufacturability of new and critical products to guide robust design decisions.
• Provide technical leadership across a range of manufacturing processes to enable design for manufacturability and strong problem-solving outcomes.
• Utilize hands-on manufacturing experience to develop suppliers and verify that both new and existing suppliers can meet contractual requirements.
• Contribute technical input during the supplier selection process to strengthen partner choices.
• Manage a portfolio of suppliers to drive improvements in quality and on-time delivery while reducing cost of quality.
• Review and approve PPAP, APQP, and FAIR packages from suppliers to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Identify nonconformances early and drive timely resolution to prevent recurrence.
• Interpret and apply quality standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, J-STD, and IPC standards to daily activities.
• Travel up to 40 percent domestically to support supplier performance and program goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of Quality Engineering experience, or a minimum of 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting complex designs or blueprints, with knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP standards.
• 5+ years using problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Value Stream Mapping, CAPA) and quality tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R).
• 5+ years of auditing Quality Management Systems at supplier facilities.
