Senior Systems Engineer - MBSE

Anvyl Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with MBSE expertise to lead the design, development, and integration of advanced aerospace and defense systems. Based in Denver, CO with a hybrid work arrangement, this role collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance, traceability, and regulatory compliance across complex programs. The position offers a compensation range of USD 120,000 to 165,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and delivering engineering projects within the assigned area.
• Conduct independent reviews and cross-program coordination to verify subsystem design compatibility.
• Define, develop, and manage system requirements in collaboration with other project staff.
• Produce system design documents and specifications.
• Oversee system integration and testing activities.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure system performance and compliance with standards.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
• Lead MBSE planning and activities for a very large modeling project that involves an inter-disciplinary team.

Requirements

• A BS or MS in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 to 9 years of experience, with a preference for aerospace and defense industry background; candidates with less experience but a proven high-performance track will be considered.
• Proficiency applying MBSE principles on complex programs, including OOSEM methodologies and tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw to model systems in SysML.
• Experience delivering complex system development using Agile processes, integrating Systems Engineering workflows with program management and detailed engineering design.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama.
• Experience with FAA and/or Military Certification processes and requirements.
• Experience or certification in INCOSE standards.
• Experience with aircraft data systems, aircraft communication data links, and/or Electronic Warfare systems.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
