Software Engineer

Deloitte’s AI & Engineering team in San Diego, CA (onsite) supports sustainment operations through disciplined software delivery, dependable mission services, and engineering-led outcomes for government and public sector clients. This role is focused on building and improving application integrations and related components, with hands-on work across enhancements, defect fixes, testing, release preparation, incident troubleshooting, and clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Implement approved enhancements and defect fixes, and contribute to code review, unit and integration testing, release preparation, and incident troubleshooting.
• Document technical designs, changes, and support procedures to help teams sustain and operate mission-critical services.
• Collaborate with the Custom Development Lead, Product Management, infrastructure, data, and cybersecurity teams to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and validate solutions against acceptance criteria.
• Promptly identify application performance, security, reliability, and deployment risks.
• Provide reliable development support to maintain stable mission services.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of equivalent experience.
• U.S. work authorization: must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Security clearance: Active Secret security clearance required.
• Experience: 4+ years with C#, .NET Framework, and SQL Server.
