Software Engineer 2, Leo Security

This onsite role in Redmond, WA centers on developing and sustaining governance, risk, and compliance tooling for the Amazon Leo Security Assurance team. The engineer will design and deploy autonomous AI agents to coordinate compliance workflows, automate tasks through data source integration and AWS infrastructure, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive secure, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop code, establish CI/CD pipelines, implement test automation, and create dashboards to monitor the health of systems and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design, build, deploy, and operate the infrastructure you create.
• Mentor junior and new team members to accelerate learning and contribution.
• Engineer and maintain a cloud service that delivers reliable connectivity for customers.
• Introduce features that improve service quality and security for users.
• Contribute to initiatives across teams to build networking functions on AWS and establish best practices for software development processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of design or architecture experience, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
• 1+ year of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Salary range: USD 143,700 to 194,400 per year.
