Software Engineer, Diags Infra

Build the diagnostic infrastructure that helps teams detect issues faster and get hardware back into service. This onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA focuses on improving diagnostic coverage and reducing Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) by developing systems that describe, qualify, and distribute diagnostics across both test and production environments.

What you’ll do

You will design, construct, and scale next-generation diagnostic infrastructure for production and manufacturing settings. A core goal is to minimize operational delays while increasing useful hardware coverage across global fleets.

• Develop and scale diagnostic infrastructure spanning production and manufacturing environments.
• Contribute to efforts that reduce MTTR and expand useful hardware coverage across global fleets.
• Build foundational software primitives and API capabilities to model diagnostic capabilities and validate test constraints.
• Work on diagnostic infrastructure, qualification frameworks, and dynamic distribution systems as part of the Diags Infra team.
• Create systems that describe, qualify, and distribute diagnostics across test and production, enabling automation through coverage-based recommendations to the repair ecosystem and reducing manual operational intervention.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems.
• 2 years of experience in programming.
• 2 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with distributed computing and large-scale data processing.

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience with data center architecture.
• 2 years of experience with tools development.
• 2 years of experience with monitoring systems.
• 2 years of experience coding in Python and C++.

Compensation

US: $126,000 - $180,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
