Senior Software Engineer

Build and lead advanced full-stack software capabilities for the Digital Solutions platform in support of AI, analytics, and autonomous inspection use cases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software platform features across the full development stack
• Contribute to the complete software lifecycle, from discovery through performance maintenance
• Develop real-time and post-processed streaming modules for text, images, and video
• Collaborate with AI, Power Systems, and Computer Vision Engineers to integrate machine learning models and analytics into the product
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve production software defects
• Provide technical estimates for user stories, including technical risks and assumptions
• Participate in application and database performance tuning and defect resolution
• Mentor other developers and conduct code reviews
• Apply deep knowledge of CI/CD processes to integrate and deploy solutions with global software teams across the Americas
• Coordinate with team members to maintain consistent focus on delivering quality outcomes on schedule
• Support Power-I Department goals and professional image by collaborating with other MEPPI departments, customers, and suppliers in a timely and cooperative manner

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related technical degree, with minimum 5-7 years of advanced software development experience, or equivalent education and experience
• Advanced knowledge of modern software development tools used for autonomous monitoring applications
• Advanced knowledge of video stream principles, media packaging, and encoding technologies
• Advanced knowledge of internet technologies and services, including basic network components, internet protocols, and configurations
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for communicating with customers, employees, and suppliers
• Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work in multicultural environments, with an emphasis on Japanese culture

Position Summary

• Lead and perform advanced software development to enable the Digital Solutions platform use cases for AI, analytics, and autonomous inspections of infrastructure facilities
• Provide technical leadership for development and implementation of digital methodologies across the division portfolio
• Operate as a full stack developer overseeing the full software development lifecycle

Location: Freedom, PA (onsite)
