Job Description

The Test Solutions Engineering team at Raytheon (RTX) is seeking a Software Engineer I - Test to support advanced Windows-based testing solutions in Tucson, AZ. This 100% onsite role focuses on developing, integrating, and troubleshooting object-oriented applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio, while working with software requirements and Agile/Waterfall lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Troubleshoot and debug software to maintain functionality and reliability
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and implement solutions
  • Work within established software development lifecycles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Develop and derive requirements for software applications and systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), obtained prior to start
  • Experience with software development, testing, or integration using C, C++, Python, or Visual Basic
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Visual Studio

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of software development principles and object-oriented design
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with Agile or Waterfall development lifecycles

Security Clearance Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to the start date

  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Additional Information

  • Salary range: USD 57,200 - 108,800 per year
  • Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits; specific benefits depend on the business unit and whether the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement

  • This is a U.S.-based role; if the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply
