The Senior .NET Software Engineer will design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise web applications and services across the full software development lifecycle for federal systems, leveraging the .NET Framework and modern .NET, C#, Angular, SQL Server, Microsoft Power Platform, APIs, microservices, and Azure and Windows infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, modernize, and maintain enterprise web applications using .NET Framework, modern .NET, C#, Angular, SQL Server, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Participate in all SDLC phases including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, unit testing, integration testing, deployment, production support, and ongoing maintenance.
- Support both Operations and Maintenance of legacy applications and the development of new enterprise capabilities.
- Develop and maintain integrations between web services, SQL Server, Microsoft Power Platform, microservices, and other enterprise infrastructure components.
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services following enterprise architecture and security best practices.
- Design and develop responsive Angular front end components integrated with SQL-backed enterprise applications.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects supporting large shared enterprise databases.
- Configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize applications deployed within Azure Application Service Environments, Windows Virtual Machines, and Windows/IIS environments.
- Utilize established DevSecOps toolchains and CI/CD pipelines to build, merge, deploy, test, and maintain software components.
- Build, execute, and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, debug applications, configure existing systems, and implement long-term solutions that improve stability and performance.
- Coordinate with Scrum Masters, Technical Leads, Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and other developers to translate business requirements into features and user stories for planning and execution.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, code reviews, technical design discussions, and software release activities.
- Review technical designs, code, testing artifacts, and documentation to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security requirements, and development best practices.
- Work closely with testers, business users, and stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to development team members while promoting secure, maintainable, scalable, and testable software development practices.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve application performance, maintainability, scalability, automation, and operational efficiency across enterprise applications.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Onsite work in Alexandria, VA, five days per week.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Salary: USD 125,000 to 135,000 per year
