Software Engineer III - AI/Full Stack in Supply Chain
Job Description
This Software Engineer III role is part of JPMorganChase’s Infrastructure Platforms, within Shared Infrastructure Solutions for the Supply Chain function. The position focuses on designing and delivering secure, scalable technology products and critical solutions across multiple business functions. The role is based onsite in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and troubleshooting of software solutions, applying advanced problem-solving to address non-routine technical challenges.
- Produce secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with required systems.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met through software development.
- Promote the adoption of enterprise authorized AI assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, including AI-assisted code review and refactoring, accelerated test strategies, and incident root-cause analysis support; establish consistent validation standards and encourage reuse of effective patterns across the team.
- Leverage knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to maximize the value of automation.
- Gather and analyze large, diverse data sets to produce visualizations and reporting that support continuous improvement of applications and systems.
- Identify hidden data patterns and leverage insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of AI concepts and practical knowledge of an integrated development environment.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, virtualization, APIs, data models, event-driven solutions, and modern software frameworks.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Proven ability to lead the effective use of approved AI assisted software development tools, with the capacity to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Strong awareness of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security requirements; experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption within delivery practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid knowledge of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated familiarity with software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technologies.
