Software Engineer-Linux Kernel & Embedded Systems (Zynq SoC and Waveform Radio)

JetHead Development Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join its embedded systems team in San Diego, focusing on Linux kernel and embedded platforms around Zynq SoC and waveform radio. This role centers on implementing kernel and user-space software on embedded devices, building drivers, and working closely with customers to tailor solutions that meet their technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Port and optimize software libraries for embedded devices.
• Work extensively with the Linux Kernel, including driver development and system-level debugging.
• Develop and maintain code in C/C++, with scripting in BASH and Python.
• Collaborate with customers to define technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level performance issues in embedded environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong Linux Kernel development experience, including driver modifications and debugging.
• Proficiency in C/C++ user-space applications, with scripting experience in BASH and Python.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a customer-facing role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment.
• Required to work on premise in San Diego, CA.
