Test Automation Engineer-Embedded Systems

JetHead Development Inc. is seeking a Test Automation Engineer for Embedded Systems to design, implement, and maintain Python based automated test suites for small embedded devices. The role combines Pytest expertise with hands-on embedded systems testing, and requires on-site engagement with a client facility in Poway, CA.

Responsibilities

• Architect and sustain Python driven automated test frameworks for embedded platforms.
• Execute Pytest based test plans and cases for embedded systems and radios.
• Analyze results and collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Manage environments and deployments using Fabric, Ansible, and Docker.
• Log defects in JIRA and maintain test coverage traceability in JAMA.
• Use network analysis tools such as Wireshark and iperf for performance validation and protocol debugging.
• Conduct integration tests on software defined radio platforms and other embedded devices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in test automation for embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Pytest is essential.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
• Familiarity with debugging embedded or network connected devices.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for a customer facing role.
