Job Description

Lockheed Martin seeks a senior software engineer to join its analytics-focused team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The role centers on delivering advanced data analytics solutions within agile development cycles, providing technical leadership for Analytic Missions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive mission objectives — all on an onsite program.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other senior engineers to develop advanced data analytics solutions within agile projects tied to a high-visibility mission.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on data analytics initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams to advance mission objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems that support Analytic Missions.
  • Follow established validation and testing workflows, including DAT, UAT/SME Validation, Smoke Testing, and System Level Testing before production deployment.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Software Engineer involved in the design, development, testing, and debugging of software solutions with a focus on Linux environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming.
  • TS/SCI w/ FSP
  • Four years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ FSP
  • Approximately fourteen years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Four years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
