Sr Analytics Engineer, Retail Data Products
Job Description
Lead the creation of analytics and conversational data experiences that support Apple Retail Operations with scalable dashboards and AI-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Improve and expand the dashboarding and conversational BI technology stack for data-driven decisions by non-technical users across retail stores
- Build high-impact dashboards and a supporting semantic layer that drive multi-year improvements to customer experience programs, site selection, staffing and scheduling, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with product management, data science, data engineering, and data infrastructure teams to deliver tools that fit into existing user workflows
Requirements
- 6+ years experience building analytics pipelines in a production development environment for modeling, analysis, and reporting
- 6+ years experience coding in SQL or PySpark and Python
- 6+ years experience building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker with hundreds of users
- Ability to initiate, refine, and complete projects with minimal guidance
- Strong critical thinking and cross-functional collaboration to translate abstract requirements into clear data products
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Data Science, Business) or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building analytics pipelines in production development, ideally with Snowflake SQL or PySpark, plus pipeline tools such as Airflow and dbt
- 3+ years experience managing semantic layers using Cube, dbt, Snowflake, or LookML
- 3+ years experience developing reusable data visualization assets like Tableau viz extensions
- 3+ years experience working with retail data
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Data Science, Business) or equivalent experience
Pay & Benefits
- Base pay range: $120,900 - $249,000 per year
