Sr. Data Engineer

The Sr. Data Engineer role will design and implement enterprise-grade data pipelines and lakehouse architecture within the UVM Health Microsoft Fabric data platform. This position focuses on delivering reliable, scalable data integrations from Epic and operational sources into a unified data model that supports analytics for clinical care, operations, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise-grade data pipelines and lakehouse architecture within the UVM Health Microsoft Fabric data platform.
• Deliver dependable, scalable delivery of high-quality data from Epic and operational source systems into the unified data model.
• Enable downstream analytics supporting clinical care, operations, and quality improvement.
• Act as a technical lead on complex data integration projects.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or equivalent cloud data platforms.
• Advanced skills in SQL and PySpark.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical components of complex data projects.
• Experience with agile product delivery is preferred.
