Sr. Data Engineer

This contract-to-hire Sr. Data Engineer role supports enterprise-level data systems for Elevate and is based onsite in Plano, TX. The position focuses on building production data pipelines, developing data models, and ensuring reliable data availability and quality across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows
• Design robust data models and integrate structured and unstructured data
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to maintain data availability and quality
• Use cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to manage large-scale data architecture
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data integrity issues

Required Qualifications

• SQL and Python proficiency for data manipulation
• Strong experience with cloud data platforms, including AWS Redshift and Azure Synapse
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data modeling, and data warehouse design
• Familiarity with data governance, version control, and CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows
• Solid understanding of source control (Git), Agile methodologies, and Jira

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data tools such as Spark and Hadoop
• Familiarity with APIs and real-time data streaming using Kafka or Kinesis
• Prior experience in enterprise-level projects or large system integrations
