Sr. Engineer - Platform Data Engineer

Own the architecture and day-to-day reliability of CrowdStrike’s platform data infrastructure supporting the analytics ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer core platform tooling, including Apache Airflow and Apache Superset, in production
• Manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for data platform components using Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow deployments
• Implement and enforce platform security, access controls, and compliance standards
• Develop and maintain data models using DBT and catalog assets within OpenMetadata
• Write efficient Python code for platform automation and data processing
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

Requirements

• CJIS clearance eligibility: requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience
• Advanced Python (5+ years)
• Expert knowledge of Apache Airflow deployment and administration
• Strong experience deploying and managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms
• Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI, including IAM, networking, and managed services
• Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency
• Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker in production
• Knowledge and experience with DBT and OpenMetadata
• SQL and data modeling expertise
• Experience with data security and compliance requirements
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
