  • Implement event-driven processing with retries, duplicate handling, and recovery controls.
  • Contribute to component design by explaining implementation tradeoffs and integrating solutions with existing platforms using agreed architecture patterns.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for assigned AWS components.
  • Implement automated testing, access controls, logging, monitoring, and alerts in alignment with engineering and security standards.
  • Troubleshoot performance and production issues; maintain deployment procedures, operational documentation, and support runbooks.
  • Translate requirements into technical tasks, provide estimates, and deliver assigned features with appropriate quality and documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing; provide practical guidance to less-experienced engineers.
  • Work with the Lead Software Engineer, QA, and delivery partners to address dependencies, raise risks, and improve engineering practices.

  • Experience building APIs, data pipelines, and integrations that support application or operational processing.
  • Hands-on experience with relevant AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge or SQS, and RDS or Aurora, with the ability to select appropriate services for specific use cases.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
