Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineering Field Tech Support Sr - E3 for onsite work in Shelton, CT. This role is a field service representative position tied to Organizational and Intermediate support for the MH-60S air vehicle, covering airframe, powerplant, and electrical systems support for the US Navy, including maintenance/operations support, technical guidance, reporting, and coordination with Sikorsky RMS.

The position includes hands-on training, safety-focused instruction, and direct support responsibilities that help maintain operator readiness, including on-call support and periodic travel in line with customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-job training in maintenance and operations techniques for repairing aircraft and equipment, including associated test equipment, with focus on adjustment, calibration, troubleshooting, bench check routine maintenance, and inspection methods.
  • Guide and instruct the use of special tools and test equipment used in support of maintenance activities.
  • Assist in identifying areas where additional training may be required.
  • Emphasize safety precautions throughout field support and instruction.
  • Demonstrate best method approaches for installation of modifications and retrofit kits.
  • Provide technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems.
  • Analyze maintenance program performance and provide recommendations that may be beneficial.
  • Act as a liaison to Sikorsky Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) for information exchange related to aircraft maintenance, including notification of urgent maintenance difficulties and/or material requirements to support rapid response for operator readiness.
  • Submit written reports to Sikorsky RMS management on a weekly and monthly basis in summary format covering technical activity at customer locations.
  • Own all aspects of setting up a new support office at the customer site and establishing a relationship with the new customer.
  • Maintain awareness of local professional rules and customs associated with this international assignment.
  • Review technical reports for accuracy and submit them to program and management.
  • Ensure site expenses are submitted on time and are accurate and complete.
  • Provide administrative training to assigned personnel.
  • Mentor assigned personnel.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of air vehicle experience maintaining Sikorsky MH-60S aircraft (airframe, powerplant, and electrical systems).
  • Extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge maintaining Sikorsky MH-60S aircraft.
  • Ability and willingness to provide on-call support 24/7.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel in support of customer requirements.
  • US citizenship is required.

Salary: USD 81,500 - 151,300 per year. Experience level: 5+ years. Location: Shelton, CT (onsite).
