Join L3Harris Technologies as a Technical Lead Information Assurance Systems Security Engineer in the System Security domain. This on-site role in Camden, New Jersey blends advanced systems engineering with information assurance, security, and cryptography to design and certify NSA Type-1 cryptographic solutions. The position operates on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, includes travel up to 10 percent, and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities
- Apply security and cryptography expertise throughout the Systems Engineering lifecycle to develop and certify national security systems on time, within budget, with low residual risk.
- Support the design, development, and testing of high assurance security solutions for Defense and Intelligence community customers.
- Develop concepts of operations, decompose and synthesize security requirements, verify security features, support security architecture development and analysis, and assist with design and security test planning and execution.
- Support NSA certification activities, secure networking integration, and embedded platform security for Type-1 cryptographic communication systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and systems lead for information assurance, security, and cryptography.
- Travel up to 10 percent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain US security clearances.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- Master's degree highly desirable
- Active DoD security clearance required, SECRET minimum
- 12+ years of systems engineering experience supporting information assurance systems or related products
- Comprehensive understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle from concept through test, including architecture development, functional analysis, requirements allocation and traceability, trade studies, system synthesis, and integration
- Experience planning, developing, and executing verification activities for security features and system-level functionality
- Hands-on system integration and test experience for complex embedded or networked systems
- Experience authoring and reviewing artifacts for formal design reviews
- Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) experience
- Proven track record in the architecture, design, analysis, integration, and test of NSA Type-1 certified or NSA-approved systems or equipment
- Experience with security verification test planning and execution
- Familiarity with the NSA Type-1 certification lifecycle and interactions with NSA technical evaluators
- Experience supporting NSA security Certification and Verification activities, including evidence production, test event support, and closure of certification findings
- Familiarity with NSA certification artifacts and deliverables (multi-program background highly desirable)
- Strong security architecture development skills and ability to justify complex security trade-offs in high assurance systems
- Working knowledge of Type-1, Suite A, Suite B, and commercial cryptographic algorithms (symmetric and asymmetric)
- Knowledge of PKI, TLS, and certificate/key management
- Understanding of key management systems including EKMS and KMI as applied to End Cryptographic Units (ECUs)
- Experience with secure networking protocols, red/black interface design, and embedded Linux development environments for cryptographic devices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and communicate changes
