Location and schedule: This is a hybrid role with three days onsite at one of our offices in Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; or Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities
- UI Implementation: Own the development of high-fidelity, visually consistent interfaces using a shared design system and align features with business goals.
- UX & Product Thinking: Partner with Product and Design to understand user personas and pain points, proactively identifying UX gaps to improve the user journey.
- Design System Fidelity: Translate Figma designs into responsive layouts with design tokens and shared styles, preserving information hierarchy and visual alignment.
- Accessibility & Quality: Implement accessible markup with semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and WCAG standards, and perform thorough UI testing for reliability and performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with front-end trends and design system best practices to minimize UX regressions and technical debt.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3+ years in front-end software engineering, with SaaS or FinTech experience preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS/SCSS; solid understanding of consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with testing suites (Jest/Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
- Innovation & AI: Interest in innovation and emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, with a track record of contributing to forward-thinking solutions.
- Tools: Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Figma or similar design hand-off tools is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex user flows, propose effective technical solutions, and implement them with a focus on performance and maintainability.
- Collaborative Spirit: Strong communication skills and ability to articulate UI decisions to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field is preferred.
