Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop system security solutions across the lifecycle, including integration, testing, operations, and maintenance.
• Evaluate system vulnerabilities, perform security assessments, and support risk mitigation aligned with DoD and Navy requirements.
• Apply cybersecurity engineering principles and network security knowledge, including TCP, IP, DHCP, DNS, and network design processes.
• Support systems security testing and evaluation, review design artifacts, and identify security gaps.
• Provide cybersecurity recommendations based on threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to achieve secure configurations and resilient architectures.
• Contribute to documentation, briefs, and technical reports supporting system accreditation and cyber readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems security engineering, cybersecurity, software engineering, or network security
• 3+ years of experience in Navy acquisition or In-service programs
• Knowledge of information security systems engineering principles, cybersecurity fundamentals, and DoD mission needs
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, bandwidth management, network protocols, and directory services
• Ability to assess security system designs and support systems engineering processes
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, engineering, or technical field
• DoD IAT Level II Certification

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific considerations, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300 to $158,000 per year. This figure is one component of the total compensation package.
