Job Description

Provide engineering support for nuclear plant operations as an Instruments and Controls Electrical Engineer at Constellation’s Byron Clean Energy facility.

Location: Byron, IL (onsite)
Salary: USD 92,700 - 154,000 per yearly
Experience: 5+ years

Responsibilities

Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision using general engineering principles
Ensure engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements
Participate in development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at the appropriate level of detail, aligned with established policies and procedures
Recommend improvements to standard processes and procedures, including format and methodology
Complete other assignments and/or duties in accordance with company policy or management direction, including:
- Emergency Response duties and/or coverage
- Department duty coverage and/or call-out
- Positions outside of the department in support of outage activities

Requirements

Education: B.S. in Engineering
Nuclear experience (minimum):
- Minimum 2 years Nuclear experience or related engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years Nuclear experience or related engineering experience (role may be filled at Mid-level or Senior Engineer level)
Meet additional requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, “Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants”
Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and remain in good standing with required medical examination and/or testing based on position duties
Engineer in Training Certification
Experience with electrical systems, including instruments and controls
