I&C Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Provide engineering support for nuclear plant operations as an Instruments and Controls Electrical Engineer at Constellation’s Byron Clean Energy facility.
- Location: Byron, IL (onsite)
- Salary: USD 92,700 - 154,000 per yearly
- Experience: 5+ years
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision using general engineering principles
- Ensure engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements
- Participate in development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at the appropriate level of detail, aligned with established policies and procedures
- Recommend improvements to standard processes and procedures, including format and methodology
- Complete other assignments and/or duties in accordance with company policy or management direction, including:
- Emergency Response duties and/or coverage
- Department duty coverage and/or call-out
- Positions outside of the department in support of outage activities
Requirements
- Education: B.S. in Engineering
- Nuclear experience (minimum):
- Minimum 2 years Nuclear experience or related engineering experience
- Minimum 5 years Nuclear experience or related engineering experience (role may be filled at Mid-level or Senior Engineer level)
- Meet additional requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, “Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants”
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and remain in good standing with required medical examination and/or testing based on position duties
- Engineer in Training Certification
- Experience with electrical systems, including instruments and controls
