I&C Electrical Engineer

Provide engineering support for nuclear plant operations as an Instruments and Controls Electrical Engineer at Constellation’s Byron Clean Energy facility.

• Location: Byron, IL (onsite)
• Salary: USD 92,700 - 154,000 per yearly
• Experience: 5+ years

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision using general engineering principles
• Ensure engineering products comply with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements
• Participate in development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at the appropriate level of detail, aligned with established policies and procedures
• Recommend improvements to standard processes and procedures, including format and methodology
• Complete other assignments and/or duties in accordance with company policy or management direction, including:
  • Emergency Response duties and/or coverage
  • Department duty coverage and/or call-out
  • Positions outside of the department in support of outage activities

Requirements

• Education: B.S. in Engineering
• Nuclear experience (minimum):
  • Minimum 2 years Nuclear experience or related engineering experience
  • Minimum 5 years Nuclear experience or related engineering experience (role may be filled at Mid-level or Senior Engineer level)
• Meet additional requirements outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, “Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants”
• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and remain in good standing with required medical examination and/or testing based on position duties
• Engineer in Training Certification
• Experience with electrical systems, including instruments and controls
