Job Description

ProTrustee, Inc. offers a full-time hybrid/full-stack software engineer role based in Mount Pleasant, SC, with in-office options in Charleston and the possibility of full remote work for exceptional candidates. You will join a collaborative team focused on building modern software for trust administration, with emphasis on reliability, usability, and secure engineering practices. The role supports a balanced work style and opportunities to contribute across the stack in a supportive, detail-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Build and ship product features across the stack with a focus on reliability, usability, and performance
Design and evolve relational data models; own how features are modeled and stored
Backend development: implement REST APIs using TypeScript and Node.js
Frontend development: create responsive, accessible user interfaces in React
Practice sound engineering: write tests (unit and integration), review code, and document decisions
Security by default: apply secure coding practices, including authorization aware APIs and careful handling of sensitive data; stay current on security best practices
Monitor and operate in production: add logging, metrics, and alerting; debug issues and drive root-cause fixes
Collaborate on product direction: contribute to ideation, scoping, and prioritization

Requirements

2–5 years of professional software development experience, with a track record of delivering high-quality production code
Strong with TypeScript and Node.js; solid familiarity with React
Experience building REST-based services
Experience designing relational data models
Product-oriented mindset, strong work ethic, and comfort owning features end-to-end with limited oversight
