Job Description

Futures Consulting, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Shawnee, Kansas on-site team. The role blends hands-on electrical design with increasing project management responsibilities across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial projects. The position offers a salary range of USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year and a path to grow within a multidisciplinary design practice.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, communications, and fire alarm systems for commercial and industrial projects
Produce and develop construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
Review shop drawings and coordinate closely with contractors and other trades
Support project management efforts, including scheduling, coordination, and client interaction
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, constructible designs

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical design for building systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience strongly preferred
Solid understanding of building systems and construction practices
Ability to balance design responsibilities with project coordination and management tasks
Strong communication and teamwork skills
