Job Description

Artheon is seeking a Municipal Engineer to join our onsite team in the Township of Howell, NJ. The position centers on land development, infrastructure design, and municipal engineering, offering a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually and welcoming professionals with at least one year of relevant experience. You will collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and multiple engineering disciplines to deliver practical, regulation-compliant design solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop civil engineering designs for site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software, notably AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standards.
Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support design decisions.

Requirements

1–3 years of civil engineering design experience, preferably in land development or municipal projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; familiarity with stormwater management software is a plus.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous or a willingness to obtain one.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
