Municipal Engineer

Artheon is seeking a Municipal Engineer to join our onsite team in the Township of Howell, NJ. The position centers on land development, infrastructure design, and municipal engineering, offering a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually and welcoming professionals with at least one year of relevant experience. You will collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and multiple engineering disciplines to deliver practical, regulation-compliant design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering designs for site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software, notably AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support design decisions.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of civil engineering design experience, preferably in land development or municipal projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; familiarity with stormwater management software is a plus.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous or a willingness to obtain one.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
