Job Description

Mid-level Software Engineer position building secure, scalable REST services and modern UI capabilities for an enterprise/government program in WP Air Base, OH (onsite).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test full-stack features using Java (REST APIs) and Angular (UI)
Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments
Create and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and UI tests, and support code quality standards
Participate in code reviews and help deliver secure, maintainable, performant solutions
Use security-minded development practices and support DevSecOps and secure SDLC expectations
Troubleshoot issues across application and API layers; support defect triage and root cause analysis
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; manage work in Jira and document in Confluence
Produce clear technical documentation and operational runbooks

Requirements

3–6 years of professional software engineering experience
Strong Java experience (including building REST APIs; familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot)
Proficiency in TypeScript and Angular for enterprise web applications
Hands-on experience with Git and pull request workflows
Experience with build/package tooling such as Maven or Gradle and npm
Demonstrated ability to design and integrate APIs using JSON and HTTP best practices
Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira and Confluence
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
Familiarity with test frameworks including JUnit, Jest/Jasmine, and Cypress/Karma
Knowledge of OWASP, secure coding practices, and cloud/container fundamentals
