Job Description

Mid-level Software Engineer position building secure, scalable REST services and modern UI capabilities for an enterprise/government program in WP Air Base, OH (onsite).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test full-stack features using Java (REST APIs) and Angular (UI)
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments
  • Create and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and UI tests, and support code quality standards
  • Participate in code reviews and help deliver secure, maintainable, performant solutions
  • Use security-minded development practices and support DevSecOps and secure SDLC expectations
  • Troubleshoot issues across application and API layers; support defect triage and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; manage work in Jira and document in Confluence
  • Produce clear technical documentation and operational runbooks

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong Java experience (including building REST APIs; familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot)
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and Angular for enterprise web applications
  • Hands-on experience with Git and pull request workflows
  • Experience with build/package tooling such as Maven or Gradle and npm
  • Demonstrated ability to design and integrate APIs using JSON and HTTP best practices
  • Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira and Confluence
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with test frameworks including JUnit, Jest/Jasmine, and Cypress/Karma
  • Knowledge of OWASP, secure coding practices, and cloud/container fundamentals
