About the Company

Our capabilities span planning studies, design and construction, as well as periodic testing and maintenance. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a focus on protective relaying and power system analysis to join our Anchorage, AK or Olympia, WA team.
Location
Location: Olympia, WA 98502. The role supports collaboration with our Anchorage, Alaska or Olympia, Washington teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to high-impact projects involving the design and analysis of electrical protection systems.
- Perform protection and coordination studies for transmission and distribution networks from 5 kV to 230 kV.
- Create relay configuration files for substations and small to medium generation facilities.
- Carry out short-circuit and arc-flash hazard analyses.
- Review event reports and test results, and support field commissioning activities.
- Produce detailed protection design drawings and technical documentation.
- Manage projects end-to-end, coordinating with clients, tracking data, and maintaining schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- 5+ years of experience in power system protection and control.
- Strong knowledge of protective relay theory and application (SEL, GE Multilin, etc.).
- PE license preferred, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience with short-circuit modeling tools (ETAP, SKM, ASPEN) is a plus.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to write technical reports and lead client discussions.
