Job Description

This position is based in South Carolina with remote work options and focuses on supplier quality, audits, and improvements for airfoil castings at GE Aerospace.

Responsibilities

Oversee supplier quality assurance and drive supplier quality development initiatives.
Lead supplier qualification activities, develop action plans, conduct audits, monitor performance, and guide key suppliers toward industry-standard excellence.
Track quality metrics and implement improvement plans to address problem areas.
Review and approve quality plans; investigate quality escapes, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
Coach suppliers in applying quality tools and meeting requirements.
Ensure regulatory and internal compliance, initiating improvement plans when gaps are identified.
Review documentation and observe supplier manufacturing and inspection practices to assess soundness.
Verify that appropriate manufacturing and inspection principles are applied.
Travel required up to 30 to 40 percent.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; or a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of four years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Shop Operations, Materials, or Sourcing.
Minimum of three years' experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Shop Operations, Materials, or Sourcing.
