Job Description

This position is based in South Carolina with remote work options and focuses on supplier quality, audits, and improvements for airfoil castings at GE Aerospace.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee supplier quality assurance and drive supplier quality development initiatives.
  • Lead supplier qualification activities, develop action plans, conduct audits, monitor performance, and guide key suppliers toward industry-standard excellence.
  • Track quality metrics and implement improvement plans to address problem areas.
  • Review and approve quality plans; investigate quality escapes, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Coach suppliers in applying quality tools and meeting requirements.
  • Ensure regulatory and internal compliance, initiating improvement plans when gaps are identified.
  • Review documentation and observe supplier manufacturing and inspection practices to assess soundness.
  • Verify that appropriate manufacturing and inspection principles are applied.
  • Travel required up to 30 to 40 percent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; or a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of four years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Shop Operations, Materials, or Sourcing.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Shop Operations, Materials, or Sourcing.
