The role centers on supporting application engineering and field sales, managing quotations and pricing strategies, and guiding training for distributors, territory managers, and customer service teams. It requires the ability to develop product literature, deliver compelling presentations, and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and regional sales managers while traveling roughly one week per month.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate sales acumen in all customer interactions and product discussions.
- Provide support to Application Engineering and Field Sales teams.
- Handle customer quotations, pricing strategies, and the preparation of price lists.
- Lead training initiatives for distributors, territory managers, and customer service staff.
- Recommend new products or modifications based on market feedback.
- Recommend and monitor appropriate stock levels to meet demand.
- Develop and update product literature and publicity for new offerings.
- Prepare and present product presentations, reports, and plans.
- Read and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations as needed.
- Present information clearly and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to service requests promptly.
- Build effective relationships with customers, distributors, and regional sales managers.
- Travel approximately 30% to 40% of the time (roughly one week per month).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field is required; Engineering (ME) degree is preferred.
- Experience with fluid power, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
- Fluid Power Specialist certification is preferred.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing.
