AI Engineer

Infosys invites you to join onsite in Hartford, CT as an AI Engineer. This role focuses on turning data into actionable insights through end-to-end analytics work, from data extraction and transformation to preparing data, building models, testing, validating, and deploying analytics tools. You will partner with business and technology teams to translate requirements into practical models and clearly communicate results. In this position, you will contribute to data quality initiatives, help operationalize analytics solutions, and participate in the development of advanced analytics, including machine learning, deep learning, and large language models. You will work with predefined processes and tools such as SAS, R, and Python, and draw data from RDBMS to support client-facing analytics. The role emphasizes documentation for reproducibility and ongoing improvement of model performance, with opportunities to influence how analytics capabilities are delivered in test and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end data extraction activities
• Support data transformation and data preparation efforts
• Identify and resolve common data issues to maintain data quality
• Ensure data quality informs model development
• Assist in developing models using statistical methods and machine learning techniques
• Collaborate with technology teams to operationalize models into analytics tools or scripts
• Participate in model testing and validation processes
• Choose algorithms that perform best based on statistical metrics and business goals
• Contribute to the development of advanced analytics and ML or DL models, including LLMs
• Use predefined processes and tools, including SAS and R/Python
• Help define analytics problems and framing
• Execute visualization, analysis, and predictive modeling with guidance from senior colleagues
• Identify data sources and extract data from RDBMS
• Contribute to UI/UX development for client usage
• Monitor model performance and implement minor adjustments as needed
• Escalate risks or compliance concerns as appropriate
• Generate reports on deviations or schedule slippages
• Document model development, testing, and deployment activities to support reproducibility
• Work closely with business and technology teams to translate requirements into actionable models
• Communicate results effectively to stakeholders
• Apply any predefined quality measurement frameworks to project tasks
• Participate in deploying analytics tools in both test and production environments
• Ensure analytics solutions meet operational requirements
