AI Engineer
Job Description
Hiresort is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning and AI models. This hybrid role in San Francisco focuses on taking AI solutions from modeling and evaluation through production monitoring, with work spanning NLP and generative AI use cases built on cloud and big data platforms.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning and AI models using frameworks such as TensorFlow and other machine learning tools.
- Perform statistical analysis and modeling to support research initiatives and predictive analytics projects.
- Build and optimize big data systems using Hadoop, Spark, and ETL processes for efficient data ingestion and processing.
- Develop scalable AI solutions using cloud-based machine learning services on platforms such as AWS.
- Partner with data engineers to define robust database architectures and SQL databases for storing and retrieving large datasets.
- Evaluate model performance through testing, validation, and deployment approaches that support accuracy and scalability.
- Apply natural language processing methods for text analysis, chatbots, and language understanding applications.
- Use SAS or R to extract insights from complex datasets for research-driven work.
- Integrate AI models into production environments, supporting deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
- Conduct data mining activities using Talend or similar tools to uncover patterns that support strategic decisions.
What you bring
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, C, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), with a focus on AI/ML development.
- Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, and related tools.
- Strong knowledge of big data systems, including Hadoop ecosystems and Spark for large-scale processing.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based machine learning services on AWS (or similar) for scalable AI solutions.
- Expertise in statistical modeling and tools such as SAS or R to generate research-based insights.
- Familiarity with database design principles and SQL databases for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Knowledge of NLP techniques for language understanding applications.
- Experience with model training, evaluation, deployment, and continuous monitoring in production environments.
- Ability to work with unstructured data sources such as linked data or generative AI models for innovative applications.
- Skills in data analytics and data mining using Talend or comparable tools to support comprehensive analysis efforts.

Compensation and work location
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year.
Location: Hybrid remote in San Francisco, CA 94107.
