Build and optimize backend AI/ML capabilities for intelligent agent workflows as a Python-focused engineer working onsite in Palo Alto.

Design, build, and maintain Python-based services, integrations, and data pipelines that enable AI agent functionality
Create reusable libraries, APIs, and frameworks that speed up AI-driven product development
Maintain engineering quality through testing, CI/CD, and performance monitoring to improve reliability and scalability
Implement and optimize AI workflows using LLMs, embeddings, RAG systems, and vector databases
Integrate AI/ML tooling and external services, including examples like OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Pinecone, and Weaviate
Run experiments with prompt engineering and fine-tuning to enhance deployed agent reliability and performance
Work with product and core engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Support architecture decisions and contribute to internal technical documentation
Assist with deployment of agents into enterprise environments, with emphasis on stability, accuracy, and scale

2–5 years of professional experience as a Python Engineer / Backend Engineer (AI/ML experience is a strong plus)
Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript for integrations
Hands-on knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and tools, including OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, and RAG
Understanding of system integration patterns and comfort working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and data pipelines
Experience with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, Helpdesk, Developer platforms, HR/Finance systems) is a plus
Strong debugging, testing, and optimization skills
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Build confidence in the internal platform, including integrations and Python services
Deliver backend components that integrate AI/ML capabilities into enterprise workflows
Contribute to reusable libraries, deployment pipelines, and system reliability practices
Collaborate with other engineers and product teams and influence technical direction
