Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply AI methods including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning to solve complex signal processing problems and drive innovative solutions
  • Engage in all phases of the system development lifecycle from requirements to flight test
  • Own critical tasks and lead technical teams to deliver high quality results
  • Contribute to proposals and whitepapers to secure funding for AI R&D projects
  • Assume technical lead responsibilities and mentor junior engineers
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI solutions
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Engage with other Lockheed Martin groups to identify opportunities for AI adoption

Requirements

  • Strong background in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
  • Solid experience with signal processing theory and application in radar, communication, electronic warfare, sonar, audio, or biomedical domains
  • Practical experience with current AI paradigms, including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and effective time management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to collaborate with other Lockheed Martin teams to identify AI opportunities
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in AI or a related field
