Backend Software Engineer - AI Trainer

Work fully remote with a flexible schedule while helping train AI models through hands-on programming and code evaluation. DataAnnotation offers hourly contract work with competitive rates of $50 to $100 USD per hour, opportunities for higher bonus rates on certain projects, and the chance to directly influence the next generation of AI technologies.

This contract role is available to candidates located in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Your work is completed on your own computer, on your own schedule, and payment is processed via PayPal.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems.
• Write clear, high-quality code snippets and detailed explanations.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity.
• Provide feedback that directly shapes the next generation of AI models.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
• Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Excellent writing and grammar skills.
• A bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress).
• Previous experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred.
