Civil Engineer

Loadmaster Industries is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its onsite team in Broussard, Louisiana. This full-time role focuses on structural steel design and design control for light or heavy steel structures serving the upstream petroleum market.

The position centers on engineering delivery and technical documentation, including building 3D structural models and designing bolted and welded connections in accordance with applicable standards.

Role Overview

• Perform structural steel design and design control in line with codes and standards such as AISC, API 4F, API RP 2A, DNV, and ABS
• Design or upgrade light or heavy steel structures for upstream petroleum applications using engineering principles and technical judgment
• Develop 3D structural engineering models to support design and analysis
• Complete bolted and welded steel connection design following AISC requirements
• Prepare technical documentation as part of design control deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 1 to 5 years of steel design experience
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English to interpret technical information, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with team members and customers

• Bentley SACS - Offshore Structures
• Bentley STAAD – Structural Analysis & Design
• SAFI - Structural Engineering Modules GSE or PSE
• SAP 2000 – Structural Analysis & Design
• ANSYS – Engineering FEA Simulation Software

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of drilling operations and drilling structures
• Knowledge in at least one of the following software platforms: Bentley SACS - Offshore Structures, Bentley STAAD – Structural Analysis & Design, SAFI - Structural Engineering Modules GSE or PSE, SAP 2000 – Structural Analysis & Design, ANSYS – Engineering FEA Simulation Software
