CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Accelera is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Engineer to support the manufacture of high-precision components. The role focuses on developing advanced machining programs, optimizing manufacturing workflows, and connecting engineering expectations to shop-floor execution.

Role Overview

In this onsite position in Grantsburg, WI, you will act as a technical authority for CNC programming and manufacturing methods. You will develop sophisticated machining programs, validate new processes, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance throughput and cycle time performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced CNC machining programs and manufacturing methods to achieve high-precision outcomes.
• Optimize production through advanced tooling selection and custom fixturing design.
• Lead critical setup activities and validate new processes prior to production handoff.
• Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times and increasing throughput.
• Mentor team members by sharing best practices in machining and CNC programming.
• Collaborate with quality and estimating teams to support project feasibility and ensure alignment with contractual standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a precision machining environment.
• Advanced proficiency with CAD/CAM tools for complex part programming.
• Thorough knowledge of machining techniques, tooling technology, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance standards and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
• Familiarity with government contracting and technical data package (TDP) requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and project management.
