CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer

CAD Enterprises seeks an experienced CNC Programmer and Manufacturing Engineer to design, program, and optimize CNC machining processes for aerospace and defense components at our Phoenix, Arizona onsite facility. The role emphasizes developing manufacturing methods, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring program execution meets stringent aerospace requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop CNC programs, tooling, fixturing, and machining processes for aerospace and defense components.
• Analyze and define manufacturing methods and process flows for complex, tight-tolerance parts.
• Create and maintain method instructions / operation sheets, including setups, tooling lists, operation sequences, speeds and feeds, cycle time standards, and routings.
• Support RFQ activity, including estimating, manufacturability reviews, and process planning.
• Participate in design, manufacturing, and test documentation reviews to ensure compliance with contractual, program, design, and quality requirements.
• Assist with engineering analysis, customer requirement interpretation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production with troubleshooting, optimization, and new program launches.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience (Mastercam preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing, machining, or process engineering.
• Strong background in advanced machining (mills, lathes, multi-axis machining, grinding, etc.).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Solid computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing experience with strong CAD/CAM programming background.
• CNC programming experience: 3 years (Preferred).
