Construction Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain detailed project schedules, work plans, and defined objectives.
• Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to maintain alignment.
• Oversee project phases from planning through execution, including permit procurement and closeout.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates and competitive bids.
• Monitor project expenditures and assist with change orders.
• Review subcontractor invoices and manage the project budget accordingly.
• Perform site inspections and quality control checks to verify adherence to plans and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and safety standards.
• Offer technical guidance and support to the project team.
• Act as the primary communication hub among the owner, designers, and construction teams.
• Lead meetings and provide regular progress updates on milestones, issues, and status.
• Resolve design discrepancies by coordinating with architects and subcontractors.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation including RFIs and submittals.
