The Structures and Payload Design Engineer will contribute to Boeingβs 787 program by shaping interior and cargo system design, integration, and certification in North Charleston, South Carolina. This experienced or senior role supports production activities, collaborates with aerospace suppliers and airlines, and ensures adherence to regulatory requirements throughout the program.

Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support and lead projects within a production system context
- Directly engage with aerospace suppliers or airlines
- Validate and demonstrate compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies as needed
- Design for manufacturability
- Design, integrate, and certify aircraft cargo compartments and handling systems
- Operate under general direction
- Final assignment of responsibility may fall within one of the Interiors organizations, determined by fit and experience
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with emphasis in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical or Materials Science
- 3+ years of engineering experience including design, integration, and/or certification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Summary pay range for Experienced Level 3: $103,700 - $140,300
Summary pay range for Senior Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
