Job Description

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Controls & Diagnostic Systems Engineer to advance the design, development, and certification of engine control and diagnostic solutions. Based in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, this hybrid role blends hands-on software and systems engineering with collaboration across customers and teammates, and it requires a STEM degree, programming experience, and travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement controls for dynamic mechanical, power, and electrical systems.
  • Translate system-level and customer requirements into concrete system or software requirements and designs.
  • Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs.
  • Carry out software verification, including regression analysis, development of test cases and test scripts, and evaluation of results.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is required for communication with English-speaking customers, colleagues, or supervisors.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 5 years of engineering experience, or an advanced STEM degree with 3 years of engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of programming experience with Java, C/C++, R, Python, Linux, or DOORS.
  • English language proficiency for communication with English-speaking stakeholders.
