Senior Software Engineer at Great River Technology in Albuquerque, NM, responsible for architecting, developing, verifying, and maintaining Windows and Linux software for advanced hardware systems across the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance C/C++ software components, including GUI-based front-end test applications and API wrapper DLLs for Windows and Linux SDK products.
- Perform hardware/software integration, debugging, and performance optimization; develop and execute test scripts to achieve full verification of deliverable software products.
- Lead technical design reviews, debug complex system-level anomalies, and mentor junior/mid-level engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
- Identify and resolve customer technical issues with software applications and SDK.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree.
- Deep proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and data analysis.
- Experience developing software for custom FPGA-based hardware.
- Familiarity with data buses and communication protocols (PCIe, USB, ARINC 818, Ethernet).
