Job Description

The Customer Service Electro-Mechanical Engineer within the Customer Service department will support after-sales operations for E80 automation and warehouse systems. This onsite role in Allentown, PA focuses on maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment in the field, including inspection, troubleshooting, calibration/configuration, and performance monitoring.

Role Summary

This position is responsible for after-sales activities, with primary emphasis on electrical and mechanical maintenance across automation and warehouse system management environments. Key duties include inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration and configuration, upgrades and modifications, reporting, and monitoring system performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain reliable operation of E80 system components through regular inspections and maintenance, including both scheduled work and breakdown response.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to support system uptime.
  • Complete corrective maintenance and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on machines.
  • Calibrate or configure individual machines and devices as required.
  • Support partial or complete upgrades and modifications for outdated systems.
  • Prepare reports and spare parts lists after completing maintenance or modification work.
  • Monitor E80 system performance and report any problems or issues to the appropriate managers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering (preferred). Background in Mechatronics is a strong plus.
  • Experience in the automation and/or material handling industry is preferred, including exposure to industrial equipment, system maintenance, or automated processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, with the ability to apply that knowledge in field operations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively with other technical professionals and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation

  • $35/hour to $42/hour DOE (FLSA non-exempt)
  • Pay range: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
