Simio LLC is seeking a Technical Support Engineer with a focus on simulation and scheduling to join the Product & Support Services team in a hybrid role based in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. The position centers on delivering hands-on technical support to customers, guiding them in modeling and analysis, and working with Python, C#, SQL, and BI tools to optimize operations and maximize the value of Simio’s platform.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries submitted via Simio's support portal and email, investigate issues, and drive resolution.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to model building, execution, and analysis for simulation and scheduling workflows.
- Coach customers on modeling best practices, debugging techniques, and interpretation of results.
- Collaborate with product development by reporting reproducible defects, validating fixes, and submitting requests for enhancements.
- Contribute to the Simio Knowledge Base by expanding FAQs, how-to guides, and product documentation.
- Escalate complex cases as needed while owning customer satisfaction and timely resolution.
- Support ongoing improvements to support processes, tooling, and documentation.
- Lead or assist internal and external trainings, product demonstrations, and workshops to illustrate best practices and new features.
- Provide technical insight to cross-functional teams including product development, sales, services, and marketing as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience for an early-career candidate.
- Foundational experience in systems modeling, process optimization, or quantitative analysis, with exposure to simulation, analytics, and process improvement in operations or manufacturing environments.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear explanations.
- Proven ability to rapidly learn and apply advanced software tools.
- Customer-oriented mindset with patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay composed under pressure, and ensure timely task resolution.
