Cybersecurity Engineer

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen cloud security architecture, RMF A&A, and cloud deployments across AWS and Azure. The role integrates DevSecOps practices and provides mentorship within a collaborative cloud delivery team. This onsite position is based in Alexandria, Virginia, and involves guiding security strategy across multiple network domains.

Responsibilities

• Define, communicate, and implement cybersecurity architecture and administration processes for AWS and Microsoft Azure environments across diverse network domains.
• Collaborate with the cloud infrastructure delivery team and stakeholders in an Agile setting to design, implement, verify, and continuously monitor cloud solutions across multiple domains.
• Develop RMF body of evidence artifacts, including system security plans and cybersecurity concept of operations documents for cloud environments aligned with existing RMF packages.
• Support assessment and authorization activities to achieve and maintain an Authority to Operate on multiple networks.
• Evaluate enhancements to cloud environments against RMF controls and DoD STIG requirements.
• Assist with data capture and configuration within tools to support the organization’s A&A objectives.
• Operate with limited direction and provide mentorship to team members as needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience securing computer systems, performing DoD authorization activities, developing RMF artifacts, and writing security plans.
• 4+ years of experience with Army, DoD, or Intelligence Community information systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Background as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) or Information System Security Engineer (ISSE).
• Experience supporting security reviews of software and system releases within a DevSecOps framework and ongoing path-to-production releases.
• Familiarity with RMF IT A&A terminology, processes, and regulations.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Directive 8570 or 8140 Series IAT Level II Certification within 90 days of hire.

Clearance

Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by several factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, along with contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected annualized compensation range for this role is USD 99,000 to USD 225,000.
