Job Description

Odyssey Consulting is seeking an Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Air Operation Center (AOC) cybersecurity team at Hanscom AFB.

Responsibilities

  • Support installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of ACAS components, including Nessus scanners and SecurityCenter/Tenable.sc
  • Support operation and maintenance of Nessus Network Monitor (NNM)/Tenable.asm and related ACAS tooling
  • Assist with scheduling and execution of vulnerability scans using Nessus scanners
  • Review scan outputs to identify vulnerabilities and detect misconfigurations
  • Assist with compliance assessment activities aligned to DoW standards and internal security policies
  • Generate reports covering vulnerability status, compliance posture, and remediation progress
  • Coordinate with system administrators to support vulnerability remediation efforts
  • Perform system administration tasks for ACAS servers and databases
  • Monitor and stay current on emerging vulnerability trends and security threats

Requirements

  • US citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
  • IAM Level III Certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional / Certified Information Security Officer)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with DoD security policies and procedures

Compensation

  • USD 150,000 - 175,000 per year

Final compensation will be determined by factors including federal government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
